• We do not require you to create an account.
• We do not collect, sell, or share personal data.
• No third‑party analytics SDKs or advertising SDKs are used.
• Network access is used to stream audio and fetch public content (e.g., Hukamnama).
• Any preferences stored on your device remain local to your device.

Information We Collect

The App does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, precise location, or contacts. The App does not implement user accounts or authentication.

The App may store basic settings or preferences (e.g., UI state) locally on your device using on‑device storage technologies such as AsyncStorage or MMKV. These values are not transmitted to our servers.

Network Connections and Third‑Party Services

To provide core features, the App accesses public internet resources for audio streaming and content:

• Live Kirtan streams, including SGPC endpoints (e.g., live.sgpc.net).
• Public APIs for daily Hukamnama and related content (e.g., api.gurbaninow.com).

When you connect to these services, your device (like any web request) may share standard technical information with the target servers (e.g., IP address, device/OS network headers). SEHAJ does not receive or store this information on its own servers.

Permissions and How We Use Them

SEHAJ follows the principle of minimal permissions. The App only requests permissions that are essential for its core functionality:

• INTERNET (Android & iOS): Required to stream live Kirtan audio and fetch daily Hukamnama and other public content from APIs. This is the only permission declared in the Android manifest.
• Calendar Access (Android only, runtime permission): When you choose to add a religious event or Gurpurab to your device calendar, the App requests calendar read/write permissions at that time. This permission is only requested when you explicitly use the calendar feature and is not required for the App to function.

Permissions We Do NOT Request:

• Storage/File system access (no reading or writing files to your device)
• Media library access (no access to your photos, videos, or audio files)
• Audio recording (the App only plays audio, it does not record)
• Location services (no location tracking or geolocation)
• Contacts, camera, microphone (except as noted above)

On iOS, the App uses the network to stream content and does not request any sensitive permissions. The App does not use App Tracking Transparency (ATT) and does not access the IDFA. The App does not request location permissions.

Children’s Privacy

SEHAJ offers family‑friendly content and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

Data Storage and Retention

The App does not maintain cloud accounts or profiles. Any settings kept by the App are stored locally on your device and can be removed by uninstalling the App.

Security

We follow reasonable practices to protect information handled by the App. Because SEHAJ does not maintain user accounts or centralized data stores, the primary security boundary is your device and the third‑party services you connect to for content.

International Transfers

SEHAJ does not operate its own backend servers for personal data. Connections to third‑party public services (e.g., streaming endpoints) may be routed to servers outside your country depending on their infrastructure.

Your Choices

• You can limit or revoke permissions from your device settings.
• You can stop all data flows by disconnecting from the internet or uninstalling the App.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our App or applicable laws. Updates will be posted within the App repository or linked website. The “Effective date” above will be updated accordingly.
